Trauma-Supportive Summer Camps
Processing Trauma, Building Strength and Resilience
Kids need to be kids. Our trauma-supportive summer programs meet the urgent needs of children and teens across Israel who have lived for nearly 2 years through unprecedented national trauma – war, sirens, bomb shelters, displacement. Camp is part of the healing process, bringing stability and structure in a time of uncertainty and stress.
This summer, tens of thousands of Jewish, Arab, and Druze children will experience a renewed sense of purpose and fun, in a warm, supportive, safe environment. Youth leaders and counselors in day camps, overnight camps, hikes, and field trips have been specifically trained to help children deal with their trauma. Empowering leadership seminars give teens the space to process their feelings.
Our Summer Activities:
-
Day Camps & Overnight Hikes – Fun, friendship, and a return to childhood for kids living through crisis nationwide
-
Teen Leadership Institute – Teens step away from stress and into a supportive, empowering environment. Trained teen leaders will return home to run weekly activities for younger children throughout the year, restoring routine, responsibility, and connection in uncertain times
-
Camp in Evacuation Centers – Working directly with children and teens evacuated from their homes due to Iran’s missile attacks, programs in hotels and evacuee centers support trauma recovery and offer much-needed relief for parents under emotional and financial pressure
-
Youth Mentorship & Community Building – Tailored programs meet each community's unique needs. From trauma-informed youth activities to emergency support and community organizing, these summer programs provide stability, connection, and hope exactly where it’s needed most

“One hour after the announcement of a ceasefire with Iran, we were already in full camp mode. Israeli kids are traumatized – it’s a national imperative to help them. We are specialists in trauma-informed education, and we are giving them the summer they need right now.”
Nitzan Rosenwaks, Youth Movement Executive Director
