Child Care Program for Children of Essential Medical Workers in Israel
Dror Israel is currently operating childcare for approximately 1,000 children of medical staff of hospitals across Israel.
With thousands of cases of Coronavirus and dozens deaths in our small country, Israel has imposed severe restrictions on movement and gatherings, including closing schools and preschools.
This left hospital workers –OUR FRONT LINE warriors against the virus – forced to stay at home with their children instead of doing their critical jobs or enormously stressed and worried while trying to tackle huge medical and organizational challenges.
Dror Israel, together with the Ministry of Health and local authorities, quickly initiated and established volunteer-based child care service for essential hospital workers to respond to the health care needs.
“To all the dear staff, thank you for investing in our children. My kids can’t stop saying good things about your work and how much fun they had on their first day! Thank you so much!”
“The children are having a great time and come home full of stories and experience. And for us, the parents, it’s a huge help. Thank you to everyone for everything. ❤”
