Educators Community Projects
Akko JAM, a performance space, a place for this mixed community to socialize together. JAM has been expanded to Sderot, Rehovot and Jerusalem.

Dror Israel educators and families share a vision for Israel of a just and equal society. We live and work together in sixteen Educators Communities throughout the social and economic periphery. We welcome educators born outside Israel who share our mission and vision, building bridges between Israel and Jews around the world.

Partnering with government, we identify local challenges and create projects to solve them. A shared performance space, a Hebrew-Arabic language program, and a local nursery school are some of the successful projects.

We are trained educators; most hold degrees from Beit Berl College which offers special programs in advancing youth at risk and the Arab-Israeli school system. We are required to study Arabic as part of the Dror Israel-Beit Berl degree program.

We are located in: Akko, Ashkelon, Beer Sheva, Carmiel, Eshbal, Haifa, Jerusalem, Mitzpe Ramon, Petah Tikva, Ravid, Rehovot, Rishon Letzion, Sderot, Tel Aviv, Afula.

Dror Israel educators are on the front lines, working with local municipalities to meet changing community needs, including throughout the COVID-19 crisis and under rocket fire.

“We know the city very well, beyond the stigmas. We see first-hand community needs and establish programs to meet them.”
