Habonim Dror North America alumni George Stevens and Hyla Kemeny, who made aliyah in 2011 from Canada, volunteered with Sderot City Hall today to hand out food to senior citizens in need.
George Stevens had this to say about the project : “Sderot's old housing projects have a lot of social resilience, but there's still poverty and loneliness in many of the apartments we visited, especially amongst the elderly. This time is trying for everyone, and I hope I was able to help some of those who needed it most.”
