Like many of the kids at my school, I struggle with social skills. At Dror Israel Chevrati School, we get to work closely with teachers one on one and in small groups. So I get the individual attention I need and also learn to work in a group setting.
I love coming every morning knowing that I will meet people, both students and teachers, who care about me. It is a safe place where I can be myself and not worry about fitting in all the time.
I am encouraged to be my best self, to explore the world, form my own views and offer my own opinions. My teachers are always pushing me to ask questions and look for ways to solve society’s problems and help others.
We learn to take responsibility for ourselves and our communities. We know when we graduate we will have the intellectual and practical skills to make a better society.
